A TRAINING FOR CLINICIANS BY CLINICIANS
A 4 day training for clinicians by clinicians. Introducing the core concepts of the theory and practice of the Open Dialogue model of care (OD), including current practices in northern Europe, Scandinavia, UK and Australia. The training will include national and international trainers. The primary focus of the training will be dialogical practice, the clinical practices that underpin and emerge from OD. There will be a particular focus on open network meetings, working therapeutically with families in a variety of clinical contexts, and the dialogical therapeutic process. Observation and practice of clinical skills is a feature of the training.

For practitioners, therapists & clinicians from private practice, government or non-govt agencies who work with individuals, couples, families, wider systems.
LEARNING GOALS
To be aware of philosophical and theoretical concepts which inform Open Dialogue & dialogical practice.
To gain an understanding, observe and practice dialogical ideas and their application to differing practice contexts.
To experience, observe and practice the elements of a dialogical approach to network meetings & family sessions.
To increase understanding, observe and practice the dialogical therapeutic process and use of self.

Includes 4 days of training and course material handouts. There will be ample time for small and larger group discussion, space for personal reflection, skills training and experiential exercises.
